Who Is Lavender Cup Cottage?

Hi, I'm Lynette Kosar

As a fellow crocheter,  designer and educator behind Lavender Cup Cottage I know how important it is to get clearly written and accurate patterns. I began designing in 2020 and specialize in only mosaic crochet patterns. Designing patterns, creating tutorials and providing support are truly my passion!

I have been crocheting since I was a little girl. During my childhood summers my great grandma babysat my sister and I while our parents worked. She taught us both the love of crocheting and I am so thankful she did!

The Mosaic Crochet Pattern Club began in 2022 because people were looking for a safe space to learn and "hang out" with others who enjoy crocheting. I pride our pattern club to be a non-judgmental, friendly, helpful and warm community.

My goal is for everyone who crochets from our patterns to be successful and enjoy their crochet experience!  I do this because I value YOU, your crocheting time and want to ensure the best crochet experience possible for you.

Cindy, one of our members, wanted a frog pattern more than anything.

She suggested it month after month.

She encouraged other members in the community to vote.

Finally...

The frog won.

Today that pattern exists because members helped make it happen.

That's what makes this club different.

Side note: Cindy wanted her granddaughter's name to add to the top so I created that for her. We also named the pattern "Jasmine Frog".

1. I am a beginner. Is the Mosaic Crochet Pattern Club right for me?

Yes! 

If you have basic crochet skills such as chain, single crochet, and double crochet, you can absolutely enjoy the Pattern Club. Beginner-friendly tutorials and technique lessons are included, and I'm always happy to help if you get stuck.

Many members join because they want to learn mosaic crochet or build confidence with the skills they already have. You'll be able to learn at your own pace in a welcoming, supportive environment. 

2. I have mosaic crochet experience. Is the Mosaic Crochet Pattern Club right for me?

Yes, absolutely!

While the club is beginner-friendly, many of our members are experienced mosaic crocheters who simply love having new patterns to look forward to each month.

The Pattern Club is a cozy place to enjoy your hobby, grow your pattern collection, connect with other mosaic crochet lovers, and maybe even pick up a new tip or technique along the way. Whether you're just getting started or you've been crocheting mosaic patterns for years, you'll be right at home here.

3. How much time do I need each month?

As much or as little as you'd like! Crocheting is a journey, not a race to the finish. There are no deadlines.

Pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea, pick up your hook when you have time, and enjoy the club at whatever pace feels right for you. Your patterns, tutorials, and lessons will be waiting whenever you're ready. 💜

4. What if I get stuck or have questions?

That's what I'm here for! 💜

Whether you're learning mosaic crochet, working through a pattern, or just need a second opinion on colors, help is never far away. You can email me with questions, and our community is filled with friendly crocheters who love to encourage and support one another.

We all started somewhere, and no question is too small.

5.  I don't use Ravelry. Can I still get the extra pattern each month?

Absolutely! If you don't use Ravelry, just send me a quick email and I'll be happy to send your free pattern directly to you. 

6. What makes the exclusive patterns special?

Our exclusive patterns aren't chosen by me alone - they're chosen by the community!

Each month, Cozy Cottage members submit ideas and vote on what they'd like to see next. I then create the winning design exclusively for Porch Swing and Cozy Cottage members.

In fact, one member campaigned for a frog pattern month after month until it finally won the vote! That's the kind of fun, collaborative spirit that makes the Pattern Club so special. 💜

7. Will the exclusive patterns be available to the public?

Club members enjoy exclusive access to these patterns for at least 6 months, and often much longer. In fact, many of our exclusive designs have remained member-only for a year or more before being released in my Ravelry and Etsy shops.

Being a member means you'll be among the first to receive and enjoy each new design as it's released. 💜

8.  Will my membership price ever increase?

Nope! As long as you remain an active member with no break in your membership, your price is locked in. 

Even if membership prices increase in the future, you'll continue paying your original rate. 💜

9.  Am I locked into a long-term commitment?

Not at all!

You can cancel your membership at any time. There are no long-term contracts or obligations.

Of course, I'd love for you to stay and become part of our cozy community, but I want you to remain a member because you're enjoying the club... not because you're locked into it. 💜  

10. Can I upgrade my membership later?

Yes! You can start in whichever Cottage is right for you and upgrade later if you'd like access to additional perks, patterns, discounts, and community features.

11. Do I get to keep my patterns if I cancel my membership?

Yes! Any patterns that have already been delivered to your membership library are yours to keep forever. If you cancel, you'll simply stop receiving new patterns and member benefits going forward.  

Of course, you're always welcome back if you'd like to rejoin in the future. 💜
