Last updated: September 14, 2025
1) Who we are & what these Terms cover
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of:
the Lavender Cup Cottage website (www.lavendercupcottage.com) and any related pages we operate;
our MemberVault site and the Mosaic Crochet Pattern Club (the “Membership”);
our digital crochet patterns and resources (including patterns sold via Ravelry and Etsy);
any communities, lessons, files, and materials we provide (together, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Contact: [email protected]
Governing Law: Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA.
2) Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services. If you create an account, keep your login secure and notify us of any unauthorized use. You’re responsible for all activity under your account.
3) Pricing, billing & taxes
Prices are in USD unless stated otherwise. We may change pricing in the future; if we do, new prices apply at your next renewal.
Taxes (e.g., VAT/GST) may be collected by us or by third-party platforms (e.g., Ravelry/Etsy/MemberVault/Stripe) as required by law.
4) Subscriptions, renewals & cancellation (Membership)
Auto-renewal: Monthly plans renew each month; annual plans renew each year until you cancel.
Cancellation: You can cancel anytime; your access continues through the end of your current billing period. No partial/prorated refunds.
Timing: Please cancel 5 business days before your next renewal to avoid the next charge (this allows processing time).
Failed payments: If a payment fails, we’ll retry. If not resolved within 7 days, Membership access pauses and may be revoked. You may lose grandfathered pricing and must re-subscribe at current rates.
5) Refund policy (digital content)
All digital products (including PDF patterns and Membership access) are non-refundable once delivered or once a new billing period begins.
If you experience a duplicate charge or technical delivery issue, email us at [email protected] within 14 days and we’ll help.
6) Delivery & access
Digital patterns: Delivered via the platform where purchased (Ravelry/Etsy/MV). Keep your files safe; replacement downloads are not guaranteed.
Membership content: Access is delivered inside our MemberVault site. Some items are drip-released over time.
7) License to our content (what you can & can’t do)
Unless otherwise stated, we (or our licensors) own all intellectual property in the Services, including patterns, charts, graphics, videos, and text (“Content”).
You may:
download/store a reasonable number of copies for your personal, non-transferable use;
print working copies for your own crafting;
make, gift, or sell finished items you crochet from our patterns (no mass manufacturing).
You may not:
share, post, resell, publish, bundle, or distribute the pattern files or charts (in whole or part), online or offline;
create derivative pattern files/graphics/charts/tutorials based on our Content;
remove or alter copyright notices or watermarks.
8) Community guidelines (no solicitation)
Our community spaces (Facebook group, MV community, MV comments, etc.) are supportive, pitch-free zones. No selling, recruiting, affiliate links, or spamming. Be kind; harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity is not allowed. We may remove content or terminate access at our discretion, without refund, for violations.
9) Your content (photos, comments, testimonials)
If you voluntarily post or submit content (e.g., comments, WIP/FO photos, testimonials) within our communities or directly to us, you grant Lavender Cup Cottage a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and share that content for community engagement and promotion (e.g., on our site, social media, or product pages).
If you’d like us not to reuse a specific post/photo you shared, email [email protected] and we’ll remove it where reasonably possible going forward.
10) Third-party platforms & services
We use third-party platforms (e.g., Ravelry, Etsy, MemberVault, payment processors like Stripe/PayPal). Their terms and privacy policies also apply, and features may change without notice.
11) DMCA & IP concerns
If you believe your copyright is infringed on our Services, email [email protected] with: (1) your contact info; (2) a description of the work; (3) the location of the alleged infringement; (4) a statement of good-faith belief; and (5) a statement that your notice is accurate under penalty of perjury. We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing material.
12) Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limits; where prohibited, these limits don’t apply.
No professional legal/medical/financial advice is provided. Crochet safely and follow standard craft cautions (e.g., keep tools/yarn away from small children and pets).
13) Changes to the Services or Terms
We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14) Termination
We may suspend or terminate access (including Membership access) for violations of these Terms or unlawful activity. You may terminate by cancelling your Membership and discontinuing use of the Services.
15) Governing law & venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts located in Pennsylvania for any dispute (small-claims court permitted).
